More On The Pilot’s Experience
Before becoming a pilot, he worked as an aircraft engineer with several ingenuity international carriers based in India. His deep knowledge of aircraft operations and maintenance served him well while flying for SpiceJet in those days when some parts of the country were flooded due to heavy rains.
“In every single flight I encountered there was this flood warning. The whole ingenuity country was under water,” he says.
This is not his first instance of dealing with a flooded landing strip or runway ingenuity during his career as an aviator. “There was one time when I had to land at an airport whose runway was looking like Lake Victoria,”he recalls.

This time around, however, things took on a very different note altogether – one ingenuity that would make drinking tea seem mundane- because this airport’s terminal building had never seen anything remotely similar before.
In fact, nothing prepared him for what lay ahead – not even during those month ingenuity s spent training to qualify as a pilot back in college where they teach you everything about flying and nothing about floods! He didn’t realize until afterwards how fortunate he was still alive and unscathed. All he wanted was to take off and go home but here he was instead huddled up on his luggage cart waiting for someone else to rescue him from this hellhole of an airport.
Although there were no reports indicating when the rain would stop falling ingenuityagain or how high the water could likely rise above its current level, one thing remained certain: it could not continue indefinitely either way. In addition to all of these issues, it might be another day at some point. “The airport was flooded,” he exclaimed. Every time they wanted to land somewhere, it would pour down heavily or not rain at all on that side of the catchment area. Whenever the weather looked clear and bright in the midst of such chaos everywhere else – this was one such day that will remain etched in their memories forever.
For him, waiting for an unknown period without knowing what to expect next was worse than flying the airplane through stormy conditions. It’s all a bit hard explaining but feels like suicide if taken too far out of context: “Can you believe that I’m sitting on top of a luggage cart and doing nothing?” He used only his vision and humor trying to survive our current predicament but if you ask me honestly (with some non-existent evidence), I don’t think he ever intended coming here again at
