### What are the benefits of NDS? : National Document
This document banking initiative is expected to enhance property ownership and transfers by making them secure and verifiable. This will increase investments, boost economic development through improved land use, and establish a comprehensive register of landowners. Most importantly it will reduce property disputes as landlords will have proof of their ownership rights.
## Current Development in Property Registration in Delhi
In October 2022, National Document System (NDS) or the centralized digital platform for people to access all official documents including property (which is basically everything) was launched. With this system every unit which is saleable or transferrable must be entered into the national databases; upon getting complete information a relevant piece of paper will be ready with unique ID written on it.
bureaucratic bottlenecks : National Document
Before its implementation, most property transactions were done using manual records where it took days to get them signed by the relevant department/agency .However, now with NDS such transactions can happen within minutes or hours depending on how fast each involved party is able to respond. As a result, this reduces bureaucratic bottlenecks and minimizes how many times one has to visit different offices seeking various approvals obligatory for making any sale or purchase. Additionally, henceforth it will not matter if you are dealing with real estate agents who are only interested in quickly moving their stock because everything will become easier than before through online registration process aimed at making usability broader than ever.
Moreover, all persons owning properties within government boundaries must register their estates before 30th September 2023 otherwise they risk losing them forever(Expected in scope). Further on this Nicholas Mutuma Ajio, head of NDS, agreed that Delhi is one of the first places where this will be implemented.
Potential legality : National Document
It is important for every property owner to register their properties in time as this will enhance security and reduce cases of land grabbing. This move will also limit any risk of losing title deeds which might happen due to misplacement or theft. All properties are going to be registered under the same system so that they can be tracked down easily by both buyers and sellers at any given moment (Potential legality). Hence these issues require urgent attention from the concerned authorities.

However, most people are not aware that there is document tracking system within India’s borders. Some of them argue about its unavailability in all states’ capitals; others may even say it does not exist due to lack of understanding (lack of resources). As such citizens feel like their government does not care if they exist or not amid political confusion and frequent changes in leadership.
Nevertheless NDS makes sure updating each record remains an automatic process while administrators have direct access through web before registering or lending any piece of property
